Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO SCHEDULE MY TRANSPORT?
The Car Shipping Company is highly recommended that you book your transport services at least 10 days in advance of your planned pick-up date. Try to book as early as possible. The more advance notice that we receive, the greater chance of scheduling the pick up as close to your requested date as possible.
Normally, the pick up date will be 1 to 10 days after receipt of your deposit.
Q: DO I HAVE TO BE PRESENT AT PICK UP AND DESTINATION POINTS?
Yes. You or your designated representative must be present at both sites. The transporter will not accept your vehicle without an authorized signature nor will he/she deliver the vehicle without an authorized signature on the Bill of Lading.
Q: WHAT CAN I PACK IN MY CAR?
Personal items are limited to a maximum of 100 pounds and must be packed in the trunk or cargo area of the vehicle(s). The Carrier's insurance does not cover loss of your personal property and will not be responsible for any loss or damage. Under no circumstances may a vehicle carry firearms, illegal substances, contraband, or hazardous materials. The vehicle may be subject to impoundment, and in such an event, all fines and expenses will be passed on the owner of the vehicle.
Q: CAN I SCHEDULE MY PICK UP AND DELIVERY AT A SPECIFIC DATE AND TIME?
We will do everything possible to pick up and deliver your vehicle to accommodate your schedule. We will notify you immediately after your vehicle(s) is dispatched. You will be given both the names of the Carrier and the transporter. The transporter will contact you within 24 hours prior to pick up and delivery depending upon his/her cell phone range. However, it is impossible to accurate in the transportation industry due to the many variables.
Q: HOW DO I PAY FOR THE SERVICES?
Payment for services is divided into a deposit which is payable prior to scheduling and the balance which is payable to the Carrier. Visa, MasterCard, Postal money order or cashier's check can be used to pay the deposit (payable to AAAA Transporters). The balance is payable to the Carrier at the pick up or delivery point.
Q: DO YOU GUARANTEE PICK UP AND DELIVERY?
We guarantee that we will schedule your pick up within 10 days. If we cannot, you may request that your deposit be returned. Due to conditions beyond our control, e.g., weather, traffic delays, etc., it is impossible to guarantee a delivery date.
Q: WHAT IF I WANT TO CANCEL MY SERVICE?
If for any reason AAAA Transporters can not arrange shipment of your vehicle within 10 days after your first available date, your deposit will be refunded in full within 10 days of the cancellation. Please note that most shippers retain a portion of your deposit, but our refund policy supersedes all others.
Q: IS MY QUOTE FOR DOOR-TO-DOOR SERVICE?
At AAAA Transporters, door-to-door delivery is a standard procedure, unless you specifically request otherwise. Door-to-Door means the transporter will get as close to your door as legally and safely possible. Many cities have restrictions on large trucks that prohibit them from driving into some residential areas. In those cases, specific arrangements will be made to make your transportation as convenient as possible.
Q: WILL MY VEHICLE BE DRIVEN?
Your vehicle will only be driven on and off the Carrier. The mileage at pick up and delivery points will be annotated on your Bill of Lading by the transporter.
Q: DO I HAVE TO DISABLE MY ALARM SYSTEM?
All alarm or anti-theft devices must be disarmed. Additionally, you must notify the Carrier of any installed system and provide the keys or remote. In the event that the system malfunctions during transit, the transporter is authorized to use any means deemed necessary to silence the system.
Q: WHAT KIND OF TRUCK WILL TRANSPORT MY VEHICLE?
In most cases, your vehicle will be transported on an 8 or 10 car hauler, the same type used by auto manufacturers or local dealerships to transport new or used cars.
Q: WHAT IS THE TRANSPORT TIME?
The delivery time is dependent upon your route. Most cross-country transports take approximately 7 to 10 days. This is only an average and cannot be more specific due to changes based upon climatic conditions, traffic delays, etc. It is recommended that you discuss this with your agent for up to date conditions.
Q: IS MY VEHICLE INSURED DURING TRANSPORT?
Yes. The Carrier insures your vehicle for the full market value during transport.
Q: WHAT IF I AM NOT AVAILABLE WHEN THE TRANSPORTER DELIVERS MY VEHICLE?
The transporter will call you within 24 hours prior to delivery and make every effort to arrange a schedule that is convenient for you.
Q: WILL YOU TRANSPORT MY VEHICLE IF IT IS INOPERABLE?
Yes. We transport inoperable vehicles; however, there may be an additional fee added to the COD amount payable to the transporter. It is your responsibility to notify the agent at the time that you schedule your transport of the operability/inoperability of your vehicle.
Q: CAN I CHECK ON THE STATUS OF VEHICLE DURING TRANSIT?

Q: WHAT IF MY VEHICLE IS DAMAGED?
If damage occurs during transport, we will assist you in processing your claim against the carrier. You should notify us immediately and the claim must be filed within 7 days of delivery. It is imperative that you inspect your vehicle (with the transporter) at the time of pick up and delivery. Your signature on the Bill of Lading shall be evidenced that the vehicle has been delivered satisfactorily and is damage free.
Q: DO YOU USE OPEN OR ENCLOSED CARRIERS?
Both choices are available. An open carrier is similar to those that transport cars to and from dealerships. These carriers range in size and capacity. Vehicles that are moved via an open carrier are exposed to the same conditions as normal driving conditions. Enclosed carriers also range in size and capacity. Since these carriers are completely covered, the vehicles are not subjected to inclement weather or road conditions.
Q: HOW DO I PREPARE MY VEHICLE?
Secure or remove any loose parts or specialty items, i.e., ground effects, spoilers, fog lights, wide mirrors and lower or remove the antenna if possible. Repair or seal any tears or open seams on convertible tops to prevent fast-moving air from causing further damage. Insure that the radiator has adequate levels of fresh antifreeze. The battery should be secure, have no leaks, and fluid levels should be low enough to accommodate expansion. Leave only about tank of gas in the vehicle. Finally, make sure that your vehicle is clean enough to ensure an accurate pick up inspection. Slightly open one window to relieve pressure due to temperature and elevation changes. This will allow for your vehicle(s) to breathe and protect window(s) from blowing out because of the temperature and pressure changes during transport.
